Spirit of America Youth Leadership Program

Spirit of America Youth Leadership is a transformative four-day residential program that engages high school students from across the country with the first principles of freedom. Their experience is filled with engaging and educational experiences including a mock congressional debate, free enterprise challenge, workshops, and historical site visits while simultaneously developing their leadership skills and identifying their future contributions to society. Students receive housing and meals allowing them to relish a time of focused engagement with their peers.

Forty South Florida eleventh graders will be selected to participate with fellow students from across the United States. The Broward County Chapter of Freedoms Foundation will send two chaperoned groups to the SOAYLP that will be held on the following dates:

March 2-5, 2023                       April 13-16, 2023                     

Student may apply by completing a student application along with writing a 500–700-word essay on “With so much diverse information available, how can you become an informed citizen and make an impact on our nation’s political life even before you are eligible to vote?”

The application submission deadline is January 2, 2023
